While we might be a wee bit biased, there’s simply no denying the facts: Assynt is the perfect base for your NC500 adventure. This remote corner of Sutherland is a place of peaceful settlements, dramatic landscapes and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world: we are not even exaggerating.
It is home to our bonnie wee fishing village and Lochinver Larder, cradled between Highland hills and the sheltered sea loch shores, with unrivalled views of Assynt’s most iconic character, the mighty Suilven.
Lochinver also happens to be the centre of our pie-shaped universe, and we’re proud to call it home. We know first-hand how special this whole area is, from the stunning scenery in every direction to the warm Highland hospitality – best served with a hot pie!
Here are a few of our top picks for accommodation in and around Lochinver, ranging from a hostel and small B&B, to a high-end hotel and luxury glamping.
