cooking instructions for your (SWEETie) PIEs
If you have a microwave, remove your pie from the base and place in the microwave for approximately 50-60 seconds (depending on the power of your microwave). We've found this helps to bring the filling to life. Then pop it into the oven at 180°C for approximately 10 minutes.
If you don't have a microwave, place directly into a preheated oven at 180°C for a minimum of 20 minutes.
Please always ensure that the pie filling is piping hot and (if you have a food thermometer) is heated to at least 74°C.
Enjoy! (Candlelight and roses optional).
We chose two pies to take to eat before arriving at our next B&B and they were excellent. Good pastry and so full of filling they were surprisingly heavy to carry! We had Venison and cranberry and also the Game pie and could not decide which we liked best. A "must do" place to visit and they also do online ordering.
