There’s nothing more quintessentially British than a well-filled pie encased in buttery pastry. A pie is tasty, portable, and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Our carefully curated collection of luxury pies is lovingly hand-crafted by our amazing team in the stunning North West Highlands. 

In our kitchen, flavour is everything; we want to give your taste buds a holiday. Steak in a pie is a thing of beauty, and our Steak and Ale pie is hugely popular, but why stop at steak? There are endless combinations to sample. 

For bolder taste buds, why not give our Durban Curry pie a bash? If you’re a fan of rich, autumnal flavours, our Venison and Cranberry Pie ticks every box. Vegetarians love our best-selling flavour-packed Chestnut, Mushroom and Red Wine and Butternut Squash, Sweet Potato and Goats Cheese pies. All of our pies work equally well as a generous snack or a more substantial meal with a side. 

Fancy a wee sweet treat? A tasty Apple and Blackcurrant will satisfy that craving. If you’re feeling adventurous, (and because you deserve it), why not follow your hearty steak and ale pie with a dreamy Apricot and Peach pie for dessert? Chocolate lovers rejoice over our heavenly Chocolate, Pear and Almond pie.

There’s nothing dainty about a good old-fashioned pie. Despite their ‘perfect for a picnic’ proportions, our pies have heft. Have you heard of the ‘filling factor’? Unlike the majority of mass-produced pies, our pies have a higher ratio of filling to pastry. Don’t believe us? Our Pork and Apple pie has 63% filling and just 37% pastry! We even create a spacious pastry dome to squeeze in more filling. Now that’s what we call comfort food.

At Lochinver Larder, we welcome pie aficionados from all over the globe. From locals popping in to buy a Chicken Curry pie for tea, to NC500 explorers fueling up on a hearty Poached Salmon pie for the next leg of their Scottish adventure. 

The great thing about a pie is that it can be enjoyed anywhere. If you’re having one of those days at work, dig into a comforting pie on your break and appreciate the little things that make life better. If you’re visiting the North West Highlands and feeling the chill, pop into Lochinver Larder for a warming pie and a side of buttery mash or new potatoes. 

Our community of customers polish off pies in all manner of places. They devour Haggis, Neeps and Tatties pies at the peak of Stac Pollaidh, nibble on Rhubarb and Ginger pies on the white sandy beaches of Achmelvich, and scoff Savoury Lamb pies while spotting sea eagles and ospreys. Others prefer to snuggle up by a roaring log fire and make a meal of it, enjoying their pies with creamy mashed potatoes and thick, rich gravy.
